I was the annoying person that kept emailing you about marketing widgets and promotions. :-) I work with the Hearst Corporation now and we're having our own mourning here with the Seattle Post and possibly now the San Francisco Chronicle's uncertain future. I'm just writing to tell you how much me and my team at the AP loved working with your paper and how truly proud we were to have our video news product associated with your fine website and its excellent reporting and content. Your community will never be the same without your paper looking out for them and fighting the smaller battles that nobody seems to care about anymore. It is just not fair, and the saddest part is I think you're the first of many major metro papers that will have to experience this. Soon enough there must be light at the end of the tunnel though. We can not lose hope. And closed doors do lead to new opportunities. All my best.
